Despite repeatedly announcing the imminent closure of Google Play Music, there are likely many people who still use the music streaming service. Google firmly believes that regardless of whether or not YouTube Music scores parity with Play Music features, those who use YouTube Music will ultimately have to switch to the former. Google has taken an important step towards rejecting Play Music. The search giant announced that the Music Store is no longer available on Google Play. If you’re one of the many music lovers who still use Google Play Music, you have three options starting today.

If you want to keep listening to your Play Music library and discover new music with personalized recommendations, you need to transfer your library to YouTube Music first. Second, if you don’t want to switch to YouTube Music, you can keep your purchased music through Google Takeout. This option allows you to download previously purchased music from Google Play Uploaded songs, your music wish list and reviews, and a list of the songs, playlists, and radio stations in your library.

Finally, there is also the option to delete your Play Music library and recommendation history from the Google Play Music account settings. Whichever of the three options you choose, you will have to act by the end of the year, as then the Google Play Music app will no longer be available and all data will be lost.
