Jeddah - Yasmine El Tohamy - Senior Saudi sport official participates in Asian Winter Games 2025 meetings in China

RIYADH: Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, vice president of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and member of the coordination committee of the Olympic Council of Asia, on Saturday participated in the meetings of the Ninth Asian Winter Games, which were held in the Chinese city of Harbin.

The meeting approved the new logo and mascot for the Harbin 2025 Asian Winter Games and discussed the latest preparations for the city hosting the winter tournament, where detailed presentations were made on various topics that dealt with the listed sports and the latest updates regarding serving athletes.

Members of the coordination committee of the Olympic Council of Asia also visited the sports village that hosts the games’ athletes, the ice training center in Heilongjiang, the Harbin Ice Hockey Gym, the skating rink at Harbin Sport University, and the location of the opening and closing ceremony of the games.

The members also became acquainted with the sports facilities designated for the games in the Chinese city of Yabuli, which also included the athletes’ village, the media village, and snow sports fields.

The Asian Winter Games will be held from Feb. 28 to March 9, 2025, in Harbin, the second time that the city will host the event and the third time for China hosting the games.
