The curtain came down on the second group matches of the 33rd edition of the African Nations Cup today, Tuesday, with Senegal and Guinea officially qualified for the quarter-finals of the tournament.

Senegal topped the group standings with 5 points, after a 0-0 draw against Malawi.

Guinea also booked a place in the last 16 of the continent, despite losing to Zimbabwe, with a goal against two goals.

The two goals for Zimbabwe were scored by the players, Knollig Musuna and Kodakushi Mahashi, in the 26th and 43rd minutes, respectively.

While Guinean Naby Keita scored his country’s only and valuable goal in the 49th minute of the match.
