Roman wrestling player Mohamed Mostafa Metwally sent a message to the board of directors of the Egyptian Wrestling Federation, after he had a cruciate ligament and cartilage cut.
Metwally wrote through his official account on the social networking site “Facebook”: “After the permission of the members of the Egyptian Wrestling Federation, I hope you guys are interested in the issue of qualification for my men as they are interested in the elections like this.”
Metwally had announced that he had ruptured the cruciate ligament and cartilage in the knee last August.
Metwally previously stated that he competed in the recent Olympics in Tokyo, with a knee injury, but he pushed himself to reach the finals.
Metwally won the fifth place in the Roman wrestling competition, in the Tokyo Olympics.
