A goalless draw dominated the Real Madrid and Osasuna match, in the 11th round of the Spanish League.

The match witnessed complete control of Real Madrid throughout the meeting, but the attempts of the Royal Club were unsuccessful.

Osasuna stopped Real Madrid’s victories after beating their arch-rivals Barcelona in the Clasico in the last round (2-1).

Despite the draw, Real Madrid topped the La Liga table with 21 points, with a goal difference from Seville, Real Sociedad and Real Betis, while Osasunas tally of 19 points became sixth.

Match details

The first shot came from Real Madrid on the goal, by Militao, who hit a ball from outside the penalty area, but the Osasuna goalkeeper brilliantly blocked the ball.

Vinicius tried to advance to the Royal Club after he dribbled the Osasuna defender and fired a superb shot, but the ball just passed near the left post.

Osasuna almost took the lead in the match, after a cross was played from the right of the penalty area and reached John Moncaiola, who hit it to hit the right post and then Carvajal’s foot to turn into a corner kick.

In the 61st minute, the top bar of Osasunas goal was rejected by Karim Benzema, who dodged the Osasuna defenders, and hit a powerful shot, but it hit the crossbar and went out of the field.

The Osasuna goalkeeper saved the chance of a goal for Real Madrid, after a pass from Karim Benzema reached Vinicius Junior’s single goal, but his shot was brilliantly saved by the goalkeeper.

Marcelo missed the opportunity of another goal for Real Madrid, after he received a pass that put him in the face of the goalkeeper, to be played by the Brazilian full-back from the top of the goalkeeper, but the ball passes next to the left post of Osasunas goal.
