Ismaily interim manager Adham El-Salhadar said that he’s happy with his side’s performance despite their loss against Al Ahly in the Egyptian Premier League.

Ismaily suffered a narrow 1-0 loss against league leaders Al Ahly in game-week 9 of the Egyptian Premier League.

Despite the defeat, Ismaily manager Adham El-Salhadar expressed his delight with his team’s performance saying that both sides deserved the three points.

“There were some small mistakes during the game, but hopefully the situation will change in the coming weeks. Our only problem is in finishing our attacks and we’ll have to work on it,” El-Salhadar told Timesport TV channel.

“Both side’s could’ve grabbed the win at any moment and their goal came from a mistake that Al Ahly made the most out.

“We’re improving every game and despite Al Ahly being on top of the league we performed quite well.

“No one can say Al Ahly struggle due to the absence of some players. We can say that only when a team only has 11 players in the squad or when we’re talking about a small team but we can’t say that about Al Ahly.

“My goal with Ismaily is to get positive results and for them to be in a good position. I’m not thinking about my position within the club,” he concluded.

El-Salhadar took over as interim manager since Miodrag Jesic’s departure and in five games he managed to come out victorious on three occasions while drawing once and suffering one defeat.

The Yellows missed out on their chance of joining the top four but will get a chance too redeem themselves when they face Arab Contractors on Monday December 23rd.
