Dubai - Yasmine El Tohamy - Former Al Ahly striker, Ahmed Belal, believes that Pitso Mosimane has destroyed Mohamed Sherif mentally after benching him for Walter Bwalya.
Since returning to Al Ahly from his impressive loan spell with ENPPI, Sherif has been in an impressive form.
The 24-year-old scored four goals in his first six appearances and seemed to be the answer for all the Reds’ offensive problems.

Belal then praised Al Ahly’s arch-rivals, Zamalek, for the way they dealt with the Mostafa Mohamed situation.

The club halted negotiations with Saint-Etienne for Mostafa Mohamed after their president’s comments, where he claimed that some of the club’s representatives demanded commissions if the move wasn’t completed.
“I liked that Zamalek decided to stop negotiations with Saint Etienne. They lost a great financial opportunity by not letting Mostafa Mohamed move abroad,” he explained
“But the position they took is positive and respectful, ending negotiations in this way to save face for Zamalek officials.
“If it happened, and they asked for commissions, it would be a catastrophe. The longer negotiations are dragged on, the more crises occur,” he continued.
He concluded his statements by talking about Al Ahly’s chances in the Club World Cup.
“Al Ahly is a big team, they already won the bronze medal before and there are African teams that reached the Club World Cup final,” Belal said.
And he added, “Al Ahly is able to win the Club World Cup title, nothing is impossible in football,” he concluded.
