Thank you for reading the news about Zamalek TV: No Emirati offers for Ahmed Sayed Zizo yet and now with the details
Dubai - Yasmine El Tohamy - Former Zamalek player Khaled El-Ghandour has revealed that the club is yet to receive an official Emirati offer for Ahmed Sayed Zizo.
Zizo became a fan-favourite among the Whites fans, having played a major part in Zamalek’s domestic and continental success last season.
The 24-year-old had played a key role in guiding Zamalek to the CAF Super Cup and the Egyptian Super Cup titles.
The former Moreirense forward was also directly involved in 17 goals in 45 appearances last season.
As a result, his contributions have instigated rumours of a possible Zamalek departure with Zizo close to joining an unnamed Emirati club according to super-agent Nader Shawky.
Reports later confirmed that Emirati giants Al Ain have offered Zamalek €2.5m to acquire Zizo’s services in the current transfer window.
However, current Zamalek TV pundit Khaled El-Ghandour denied rumours of the White Knights receiving an offer for Zizo.
“Zizo played in Europe for five years, no one knew him, he never received a national team call-up,” El-Ghandour said on Zamalek TV.
“Five years in Europe, no one knew him, but it was Zamalek who raised the player’s value and made him perform at the highest level.
“Zamalek has not received any official offer from Emirati club Al Ain for Zizo.
“It was only a document from an Emirati company through Nader Shawky, Al Ain Club did not raise or reduce the financial compensation, there is no official offer.
Al Ain have had a couple of Egyptian in their ranks before, most notably Al Ahly’s current winger Hussien El-Shahat, and there are also Omar Yaisien and Ahmed Jamal who currently ply their trade with the Emirati giants.
The Cairo giants are also already on the verge of losing their number one striker Mostafa Mohamed whose move to Ligue 1 outfit, Saint-Etienne seems to be in its final stages.
Mohamed hasn’t been included in Zamalek’s squad for the last three Egyptian Premier League games despite being fit to play.
Additionally, it appears that Tunisia international, Ferjani Sassi, is also heading out, meaning that they could lose three of their key players this transfer window.
The club have already been going through a turbulent time since Mortada Mansour’s departure, as they announced that late player dues have amounted to EGP100 million.
