Manschot is blamed for Ajax injury after ‘rash actions’ Vloet

Ajax easily won against Heracles Almelo (5-0) on Sunday afternoon, but did not come out of the game in the Johan Cruijff ArenA unscathed. Mazraoui also failed to make it to the end of the game after a foul by Vloet. “Thanks to referee Manschot, who of course just has to take much stricter action against such rash actions by Rai Vloet,” says Verweij in a video on the website of his employer. The club watcher thinks that Vloet would not have crossed the line in a duel with Mazraoui if he had already had yellow in his pocket.

“After six minutes he kicks Davy Klaassen out of the match and later also Noussair Mazraoui”, Verweij continues, who thinks that Manschot should have punished Vloet with yellow soon. “If you just give him a yellow card after six minutes, he will no longer make that second offense. But the referee was keeping up with the pace of the game. He whistled his game, but should have acted much harder. If you know that clubs are in a phase where a lot of injured people are falling, then as a referee you just have to be on top of it.
