Honors have been received following the sudden death of a young Kilkenny girl.

Sarah Dobbyn from Kilkenny sadly passed away on Thursday.

And the local Kilkenny rugby club was one of the first to pay tribute to the “bubbly” youngster who played on the U16 team.

They wrote on : “Kilkenny Rugby Club is saddened by the death of our U16 player Sarah Dobbyn. She will be very much missed in the club and by everyone who knew and loved this bubbly girl with an infectious laugh. ”

“We extend our condolences to their parents PJ and Vivienne, the brothers Luke and AJ as well as their extended family and friends.”

While Clara Camogie Club said they were also stunned by the tragic news.

They added: “Clara Camogie Club is deeply saddened to hear Sarah Dobbyn’s untimely death.

“Sarah was a valued member of our U14 & U16 Camogie Panels this year and her infectious laugh and kindhearted manner warmed everyone who had the pleasure to know her.

“She will be very much missed by her teammates, coaches and the wider Clara community. We would like to express our deepest condolences to her mother Vivienne, her father PJ, their brothers Luke and AJ, their extended family and their large circle of friends.

“At the right hand of God was his faithful soul.”

And Sarah’s family has confirmed that their funeral mass will be held in Clara on Sunday morning.

A post on RIP.ie reads: “Sarah, beloved daughter of PJ and Vivienne and dear sister of Luke and AJ, is loved by her heartbroken family, her grandparents Eileen (Dobbyn) and Michael and Christina (Doyle), aunts and uncles , very much missed. their cousins, their extended family and their many friends.

“May Sarah’s gentle soul rest in peace.

“In accordance with current government / HSE guidelines on public gatherings, a private family funeral will be held for Sarah. The Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Sunday (November 15) at 11 a.m. in St. Colman’s Church in Clara and will then be buried in the church in the adjacent cemetery. ”
