The entry read: “We are devastated when we hear of the tragic death of our older player Zara Horan. Zara was a central part of our women’s squad and only played in her last game. She was as kind and charismatic as she was persistent in the back row.
“She brought joy and fun to the squad in her short time with us. We would like to express our deepest condolences to Zara’s family and friends, our women’s squad and the larger club. She will be terribly missed. May she rest in peace. “”
Zara is deeply missed and remembered by her parents Declan and Alison, brother Jamie, sister Charlotte, grandma Violet and grandpa Henry, grandma Vina and grandpa Seamus, aunts and uncles, cousins, close family members and friends.
Due to government policy, a private family service will be held on Wednesday afternoon at St. Ruadhan’s Irish Church in Lorrha, Co Tipperary. Burial afterwards at Terryglass Cemetery.
