The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is studying the establishment of the African Champions League final for the current edition of 2019-2020 at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco.

“CAF” had announced the establishment of the Champions League final in Egypt, after a draw was held that reported that the final match of the continental event would be contested by the arrival of an Egyptian party to the final.

Al-Ahly qualified for the African Champions League final at the expense of Moroccan Wydad, waiting for the title rivals between Zamalek and Raja Casablanca.

Al-Masry Al-Youm learned from a source inside CAF that officials of the African Union are considering moving the match to Morocco instead of Egypt, after the Egyptian authorities demanded to postpone the proposed date for the match on the sixth of November, based on security instructions.

The source revealed that Moroccan Faouzi Lakjaa, Vice President of CAF, began to move to host the final continental Casablanca.

CAF settles on its final decision within the next few hours, in light of the rejection of Egypt’s proposal to postpone the final date.
