Former West Indian cricketer Marlon Samuels has come under fire for making disgusting comments about the wife of all-round superstar Ben Stokes.
Due to strict travel restrictions, the 29-year-old was forced into a 14-day quarantine before he could make contact with friends and family.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Stokes explained why he wouldn’t want the challenging experience of his worst enemy.
“You get off the plane, get your bag, go out and find out which hotel to go to,” Stokes said.
“There is no choice, it is a godsend whether you get a good hotel or not. The government has selected certain hotels as quarantine hotels.
“I posted a couple of Instagram stories and some of the English guys texted me and said, ‘How’s that? ‘And I said,’ It wasn’t the nicest thing you ever had to do, I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. ‘
“I’ll text my brother and say the same thing. My brother asked, ‘You wouldn’t even do that to Marlon Samuels? ‚
“I said, ‘No, it’s so bad’ – it was that hard.”

Although Stokes’ comments were obviously light-hearted, Samuels apparently did not appreciate the joke.
In response, Samuels posted an explosive rant on Instagram in which he appears to be making sexual remarks about Stokes’ wife.
“No white boy could diss me in sports and no looking back at this b *** h who is still thinking of me. Give me 14 days with your wife. Turn her into a Jamaican in 14 seconds. Buddy, none of you guys know me that easily. It’s my darn superior skin tone that you hate, ”Samuels wrote on Tuesday.
Samuels’s social media post was not well received by the cricket community.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan tweeted, “This is horrific … we’re trying to stamp out racism … a little joke from (Stokes) shouldn’t lead to this.”
The rivalry between Stokes and Samuels was sparked during a test series in 2015 when the West Indian batsman taunted the left-handed man by greeting him after a sacking.
Two years later, the couple hit the heads again in the unforgettable T20 World Cup final, and a heated argument broke out in the middle.
Samuels recently shared the first confrontation on Instagram, claiming Stokes sled him throughout the game.
“I remember that day like it was yesterday when I first saw Ben and he started scolding me when I was around 50 and his teammates were like, ‘Ben, hold on about the plan, don’t talk to him because he wants to. ‘I made 100 lol,’ wrote Samuels.
“Then it was his turn to hit and I greet him. I also walk up to him and said to him, ‘Listen to your teammates because that way your start will last a lifetime and you even dare to say my name and know damn well how much hate in your heart for me ‘Lol some people just don’t learn a blessing, a river, Ben.’
Samuels added more anti-Stokes posts to his Instagram account early on Wednesday. He published an article about the English star who was involved in a fight during a night in Bristol in 2017. He was charged but not found guilty.
“No, no, no, that can’t be true. Ben is such a nice guy that he would never fight on the streets of England, ”Samuels posed sarcastically. “Don’t ever stop telling lies about Ben.”
In another sarcastic post, referring again to an article about the Stokes incident in Bristol, Samuels wrote, “Hi guys, this is your sweet little Ben who can’t live without calling my name mom. I don’t think Ben would do this. **.
“Lies, lies, he’s such a nice guy and he just tells me nice things on the cricket field that I would never talk about because I’m a boss and he’s just a cute guy, lol.”

In a separate social media post, Samuels targeted Australian cricket star Shane Warne, with whom he also has an unfortunate story.
“ICC cricket world Ben b *** h Stokes Shane b *** h Warne and a few b *** h cricketers from the West Indians … f *** with my army bigger and we richer,” Samuels posted on Instagram.
Samuels and Warne infamously butted the heads during a game in the Big Bash League in January 2013 when the spinner accused the Jamaican of pulling on an opposing player’s shirt while running between the gates.
At one point in the ugly confrontation, Samuels threw his cricket bat in Warne’s direction, telling the umpires to intervene.
After representing the West Indies in 71 friendly matches, Samuels played his last international match in 2018.
Meanwhile, Stokes plays with the Australian Steve Smith in the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League.
On Sunday night, Stokes hit the Mumbai Indians in Abu Dhabi, his second century in T20 cricket.
