According to the NFL Network, the Baltimore Ravens will include free agent wide receiver Dez Bryant in their practice group.

Bryant’s last game in the NFL was in December 2017, when the Dallas Cowboys beat Philadelphia 6-0 when he finished the season with 69 catches for 838 and six touchdowns.

The 31-year-old wants to get active again after tearing his right Achilles tendon two days after signing a one-year contract for the New Orleans Saints in November 2018.

The three-time Pro Bowl selection worked out with the Ravens in August last off-season, but no deal was agreed.

After being drafted by the number 24 overall standings by the Cowboys in 2010, Bryant recorded 531 receptions for 7,459 yards and the best 73 touchdown catches in 113 games before being released in April 2018.

Marquise Brown is currently the Ravens’ lead receiver with 26 catches for 376 yards and a touchdown, followed by Mark Andrews who has made 20 passes for 243 yards and five points.

The rest of the targets have been split between Willie Snead, Miles Boykin and Devin Duvernay, while the Ravens are third on the rush attacks thanks to the efforts of Lamar Jackson and a committee made up of Mark Ingram, Gus Edwards and Rookie JK.

Baltimore’s defense was bolstered this week when they acquired Yannick Ngakoue through a deal with the Minnesota Vikings, who themselves had only traded for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ earlier defensive end on August 31.

Seahawks among teams interested in Brown

The Seattle Seahawks are keen to sign former Pittsburgh Steelers recipient Antonio Brown, sources told ESPN. His NFL suspension can end after week eight of the 2020 season.

The NFL banned Brown for eight unpaid games for multiple violations of the league’s personal code of conduct, the league said in July.

The NFL is also investigating a lawsuit filed by Brown’s former sports coach alleging he was sexually assaulted by him. Brown has denied the allegations.

When asked about reports linking the team with Brown, Seahawks trainer Pete Carroll said they “went out of their way to go along,” adding that General Manager John Schneider “did a wonderful job, always to be ready for what is happening. and that is no exception.

“So we’ll see what happens when we go forward, but we’re prepared for what happens there.”

Vikings swap ngakoue for ravens after five games

The Minnesota Vikings swap the defensive end Yannick Ngakoue for the Baltimore Ravens after just five games.

In return, the Vikings will receive a selection for the third round in 2021 and a conditional selection for the fifth round in 2022, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Ngakoue hadn’t joined the Vikings until late August when it was acquired through a deal that saw a selection for the second round in 2021 and a conditional selection for the fifth round for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Vikings suffered another blow on Thursday with news that Danielle Hunter’s defensive end is due to have a slipped disc surgery on her neck at the end of the season.
