The Argentine is known to be on good terms with Madrid President Florentino Perez and has been linked to a move to Spain on a regular basis during his time in north London.
Pochettino fluttered his eyelashes to Madrid again earlier this year and said in an interview with Marca: “I don’t know if I’ll ever train Madrid but of course it’s my dream.
“If it’s not the best, it’s one of the best clubs in the world. I’m no different, everyone has it on their dream list. ”
However, Raul is a cult hero with Los Blancos supporters after scoring 323 goals in 741 games over 16 seasons.

He is currently the manager of Madrid’s Castilla reserve team and his appointment would undoubtedly be easier than Pochettino’s.
It would also continue the recent tradition of appointing former players, with Madrid’s last four managers having represented the team at least at youth level.
It remains to be seen if Zidane can change the situation, but a loss to Barcelona would certainly sharpen the knives and not many Madrid managers would survive three losses in a row, especially if faced with the old enemy.
