AFL is pleased to announce Colgate, the AFL’s official smile, as the naming rights partner for this year’s Colgate AFL Grand Final Sprint, which will take place on Saturday, October 24th, at the fifteen-minute period of the 2020 Toyota AFL Grand Final.

In the hotly contested annual event, eight representatives from various AFL clubs compete on the Gabba lawn, where they compete for the title of fastest player in a 100-meter sprint.


Cult hero and Brisbane Lion Charlie Cameron will compete alongside Brad Hill of St. Kilda, Xavier Duursma of Port Adelaide and others in the ultimate test of players’ short-haul speed.

Kylie Rogers, general manager of commercial at AFL, said the Colgate AFL Grand Final Sprint will add to the excitement of the league’s first-ever overnight Grand Final.

“Our fans always look forward to the Grand Final Sprint to see which of their favorite players will take the win. For the first time it will be under lights, followed by a full entertainment bill so fans can sit back and enjoy the evening, ”said Ms. Rogers.

Anthony Crewes, Colgate Marketing Director, said, “Colgate is excited to partner with the AFL in this year’s Colgate AFL Grand Final Sprint. We’re especially proud to celebrate the resilience of the AFL community and to give fans and the football community a reason to smile big. ”

Colgate will make a $ 5,000 donation to Ladder, an AFL player-run charity that aims to help tackle youth homelessness in honor of the winner.
