NBA 2020: Ben Simmons, Trades, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Clippers, Kawhi...

The Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers were both underperformed in 2020, and big changes could be in sight for both franchises.

Another season has passed and another off-season, in which we asked ourselves how the 76ers can reach their high potential, will follow.

Doc Rivers has been brought in and vowed to be the man who will finally unlock the keys to a stacked roster that just can’t take the form of a championship quality.

“I love the pieces here,” said Rivers when he first accepted the job.

“This team is loaded.”

However, there are question marks about whether Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid can finally work together when there is doubt about the pieces that surround them.

On Wednesday, The athlete published a poll of 20 player agents from across the league speaking anonymously about a range of issues the NBA was facing.

One of them was the biggest off-season mover in the gaming market, and it was the Sixers that showed up the most.

Philadelphia received 6.5 votes out of 20 when asked which franchise had to “take a big step” in the off-season.

“Philly has got to the point where it’s a make-or-break year for almost everyone,” said one.

Meanwhile, from the Clippers’ disappointing end to the 2019-20 season, the fallout is only just beginning, according to an NBA executive.

The Clippers tumbled out of the playoffs with a semi-final loss to the Denver Nuggets.

Los Angeles was on track to be serious contenders for their very first NBA title when they went after Paul George and Kawhi Leonard last summer.

They bet a lot on the line to secure the star pairing as well – $ 145.6 million and five picks for the first round.

The athlete reported last week that Patrick Beverly, Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams were among a group of players who received preferential treatment for Leonard.

The reported dysfunction that the group has captured is hardly what you would expect from championship contenders.

An NBA executive believes this could be the trigger for big changes in the franchise ahead of next season.

“I heard (the Clippers are going to) break this roster,” they said The athlete.

Just last month, Kendrick Perkins also claimed the Clippers would disband the unit after blowing a 3-1 lead over the Nuggets.

“The Clippers will resolve this whether you like it or not,” Perkins said at the time.

“I heard from the inside source that they will all resolve this. You will resolve that. ”

Harrell, Marcus Morris, Patrick Patterson, and Reggie Jackson become freelance agents in the off-season.
