And Solskjaer has given the squad a boost by adding two players who, according to the MEN, had doubts – Maguire and Telles.

Club captain Maguire suffered a blow before being sent off during England’s loss to Denmark on Wednesday.

However, the center-back is believed to have recovered well after a night out at Wembley, which means he’s making up the squad.

Meanwhile, Telles played in both Brazilian World Cup qualifiers on hiatus, shortly after joining United.

The 27-year-old didn’t check in with United’s Carrington training base until Thursday but was also accepted into the tour group and could make his debut.

Edinson Cavani failed to make the roster as he is still self-isolating outside of an elite sports bubble after arriving from Paris.

The selected group of players flew to Newcastle from the private terminal at Manchester Airport on Friday afternoon.

Solskjaer recently backed Maguire after the United Skipper’s nightmares against Tottenham and Denmark.

“You’re at the peak all the time and when Harry is part of the English team that beat Belgium to number one, it’s just a normal day and you get headlines when you get a goodbye,” said Solskjaer. “This is soccer for you. There are so many ups and downs that you have to deal with them individually and as a group.

“Harry has a lot of resilience, I know he’s going to bounce back, I know he wants to play and work his way out of the last few games he’s criticized. He was hit shortly before he left. I am I just hope he is fit. We looked at it yesterday and will test it today. ”
