Young Ajax booked a great victory with ten men

On Friday, Young Ajax delivered a formidable performance at De Toekomst. Despite the fact that Mitchell van der Gaag’s team was with ten men after about twenty minutes, they won against the peers of Young AZ. The goals of Brian Brobbey and Enric Llansana made it 3-2 for the team from Amsterdam.

Young Ajax started the game badly with a quick goal against. Peer Koopmeiners, Teun’s younger brother, benefited from the loss of possession by right back Devyne Rensch. Fortunately for the team from Amsterdam, the equalizer quickly followed, which Llansana scored with the head after a nice free kick by Alex Mendez. With one man less, Van der Gaag’s team had to accomplish a difficult task: prevent a defeat. For a long time, defending was the only thing the Amsterdammers could and had to. Reaching and connecting Spits Brobbey was no longer possible. Young AZ surrounded Dominik Kotarski’s goal and was close to a new lead via Koopmeiners. The bar prevented a hard distance attempt from disappearing into the goal.

Against the ratio, Young Ajax suddenly took the lead shortly before half time. Brobbey was sent into the depth with a long ball behind the defense. The striker used his body well, played himself free for a shot and outwitted the goalkeeper of the Alkmaarders. Shortly after, both teams went to the dressing rooms.

After tea, the Amsterdammers immediately received a present from the arbitrator. The ball went wrong on the spot after a schwalbe from Brobbey. The attacker bypassed the goalkeeper and then went to the ground willingly, without an offense from the goalie. The ref gasped. Brobbey then successfully went behind the ball himself: 3-1.

However, the home team could not enjoy the larger lead for long. Richonell Margaret scored the connection goal in no time. The rush hour was the end station of a corner of the visitors. Van der Gaag then decided to change two attackers. Max de Waal and Giovanni were exhausted, Sontje Hansen and Jaymillio Pinas took their place.

In the absolute final phase, Young AZ still had a number of great opportunities. The biggest was a volley, which almost ended over the goal line via the post and goalkeeper Kotarski. The Croat could just prevent this. Young Ajax thus took the three points by defending in a disciplined way.
