El-Gouna signed a final contract with Hamdi from Al-Ahly, before the start of the current season, after he played in his ranks on loan last year.
The 22-year-old had received many professional offers over the past years, most notably from the Italian club Udinese and Portuguese Braga, but those clubs’ negotiations with Al-Ahly were unsuccessful, before his move to El Gouna.
