Greek journalist, Demi Stamatelia, has denied having had any issues with Egypt international Amr Warda, revealing that they’re really good friends.

Warda was reportedly involved in another online scandal after he sent a direct message to Olympiacos reporter Demi Stamatelia on Instagram.

The 26-year-old reportedly met Stamatelia in a store and gave her his contact details but she didn’t reach out to him, which urged him to send her several ‘flirty’ messages but he was ignored.

However, talking to Greek news outlet Metro Sport, Stamatelia said that the messages were forged and she has a really good relationship with Warda.

“Warda and I are very close friends. The leaked messages took place but the conversations were forged,” she said.

“The reports published don’t reflect the reality of the situation, I’ve known Warda for many years and I like him a lot.

“Warda spoke to me and was very surprised by what what was written about him in his home country,” he concluded.

The Al Ahly academy graduate’s contract with A.E Larissa, where he spent a season on loan from PAOK, was terminated after failing to appear for a number of training sessions.

He has since been linked with several moves in Greece with Greek giants Olympiacos and Swiss side BSC Young Boys.
