Thank you for reading the news about Zamalek will change how they play without Obama, admits Carteron and now with the details

- Yasmine El Tohamy - Zamalek manager Patrice Carteron admits that the absence of Youssef Obama will force them to change their approach against Esperance de Tunis.

With the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarter final between Zamalek and Esperance de Tunis fast approaching, Carteron has been given a selection dilemma thanks to the absence of Youssef Obama.

Carteron spoke at the press conference today, saying: “The match is not easy, as we face the African champions of the last two tournaments.”

“Obama and Mohamed Awad will not be able to participate in the injury meeting, and we will prepare them for the return meeting in Tunisia. So the absence of Obama will make us change the usual way we play, but we have the elements that are able to cover any absence in the team and we aim to win the first leg.”

The match is the second encounter between Zamalek and Esperance this month, as the White Knights had previously won the CAF Super Cup in convincing fashion, however this is a whole new proposition as Esperance are the dominant force in the CAF Champions League.

Zamalek vs Esperance de Tunis kicks off at 6PM Egyptian time on Friday 28th of February.
