The first-team coaching staff will also be replaced by a number of youth team managers, including U-18s head coach Ahmed Abdelmaksood, U-19s coach Amr Fahim, U-18s general manager Ahmed Abdelraouf, U-18s goalkeeping coach Ayman Al-Tawil and club representative Mahmoud Meghawry.

Surprisingly enough this is not the first time that an incident of this kind occurs as in 1985 Al Ahly decided to play their youth team when they were drawn against the Whites Knights Egypt Cup quarter-finals.

Against all odds, the Red Devils ended up winning the game 3-2 with a squad that included the likes of Hossam Hassan. Al Ahly ended up lifting the trophy after beating Ismaily in the final.
