- Yasmine El Tohamy - Zamalek manager Patrice Carteron has talked about his side’s preparations ahead of their game against Al Ahly in the Egypt Super Cup.

The White Knights will be entering the game with high morale as they were crowned CAF Super Cup champions after defeating Esperance 3-1.

They are set to face Al Ahly on Thursday in the Egypt Super Cup as Zamalek could win two trophies in the space of just one week.

“We are having a tough week after returning from the CAF Super Cup game in Qatar but we are ready for the game against Al Ahly,” Carteron said in a press conference.

“The players were really happy after winning the CAF Super Cup which led to wild celebrations.

“But I was able to prepare the team for Thursday’s game because it will be different than the one against Esperance and we must be mentally prepared to win the cup,” he added.

Zamalek face Al Ahly on Thursday in the Egypt Super Cup at the Mohamed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Kick-off takes place at 19:00 CLT.
