Former Pyramids FC manager Ramon Diaz has been appointed as Paraguayan side Club Libertad’s new manager.
Diaz guided Pyramids through 13 games before leaving in May 2019 just five months following his appointment.
The 60-year-old was then linked with Egyptian powerhouse Zamalek, nonetheless the move fell through due to financial disagreements with the club’s board.
Now after being without a job for six months he has now joined Paraguay’s Club Libertad who finished second in the league this. Meaning that he will guide them to the Copa Libertadores group stages who will kick-off in January 2020.
This will be the Argentine’s 11th managerial job as he previously coached many clubs around the globe including Saudi giants Al-Hilal and Al Ittihad. As well as River Plate, Independiente and San Lorenzo in Argentina.
He also had a two year stint with the Paraguayan national team, however this will be his first club in the country.
