- Yasmine El Tohamy - The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) have announced that the committee of ethics and discipline imposed multiple bans and sanctions on Pyramids FC players following their misconduct against the match official of Al Ahly game.

Pyramids lost all the three points last Thursday following their defeat by league leaders Al Ahly for the first time since the club was re-branded on Thursday evening.

A blast have broken between Pyramids players and match official Ibrahim Nourredin right after Aliou Dieng’s late winner that resulted in the sending off of Ahmed Ayman Mansour and Ragab Bakkar.

Pyramids’ players behaviour, however, have caused more severe punishments following the consultation of match observer’s report.

Pyramids’ Ahmed Ayman Mansour, Ragab Bakkar, Ali Gabr, Islam Eissa and Omar Gaber for three matches in addition of a 50K EGP fine for each.

Moreover, Pyramids CEO Mamdouh Eid was also banned from any sports related activity for three matches and a 50K fine. Al Ahly’s director of football Sayed Abdel-Hafiz was also suspended for one game and fined by 50K EGP.

Al Ahly was fined 100K EGP after fans hurled insults at Pyramids players, specifically Ali Gabr.
