Atletico Madrid stepped up their preparations for La Liga's proposed return next month.

Spain strikers Diego Costa and Alvaro Morata were among those taking part in exercise drills at Atletico's Majadahonda sports complex on the outskirts of Madrid.

Fellow internationals Saul Niguez and Koke were also among the party as was England defender Kieran Trippier and Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey.

La Liga hopes to restart the 2019/20 season on June 8 after football in Spain was shutdown in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
