During the meeting, they reviewed the Arab efforts to combat COVID-19 pandemic, Arab issues of common concern, especially the Palestinian cause, and the current political challenges facing Arab countries, on the international arena.
Al-Muallami briefed the Arab group on the welcome announcement of the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy, in Yemen, of a two-week comprehensive ceasefire as of Thursday, April 9, in response to the call of the UN Secretary-General and the call of UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths.
Al-Muallami also briefed the Arab Group on the Kingdom's efforts in supporting Yemen, in all fields, including its contribution of $500 million to support the humanitarian response plan, in Yemen, for the year 2020, in addition to $25 million to support the efforts of the Yemeni government, in confronting COVID-19 pandemic. — SPA
