A member of the Council of Senior Scholars, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mutlaq, clarified the ruling on a man’s ihraam with a color other than white.
He stressed, during his meeting on the “Fatwas” program on the “Saudi Arabia” channel, that it is permissible to wear ihram of any color, stressing the need for the dress not to be sewn.
He added that what is important is that a man should not imitate a woman and vice versa, referring to the preference for the white color in Ihram to urge the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to use the color white, which explains why the shroud is covered in white.
