The penalty for the crime of harassment is imprisonment for a period not exceeding five years, and a fine of not more than 300,000 riyals, or one of these two penalties, in the case of return or if the crime is combined with the victim being a child or a person with special needs and the offender had direct or indirect authority directly on the victim, or the crime occurred in a place of work, study, shelter or care, or the offender and the victim were of the same sex if the victim was asleep, or unconscious, or in the same manner if the crime occurred in any of the crises, disasters or accidents. The penalty is increased in case of repetition or for special circumstances.
