Today, Wednesday, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that it has canceled repeating Umrah, with the possibility of reserving a new permit once the previous permit is completed, and that the permitted period for repeating Umrah is ten days.
The “Hajj and Umrah” attributed this amendment in determining the permissible period for repeating the Umrah to the precautionary measures that were re-applied in the Two Holy Mosques, according to Okaz newspaper.
And earlier, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced that it had implemented physical distancing measures between worshipers and pilgrims in the entire Grand Mosque and its outer courtyards, and reinstated the physical distancing posters between the ranks of worshipers and the paths of pilgrims.
The procedure included the courtyard and the chapels inside the Great Mosque of Mecca and its courtyards, in order to preserve the safety of pilgrims and worshipers and to prevent the Corona pandemic.
This step came after the Saudi Ministry of Interior announced its decision to reinstate the obligation to wear the muzzle, and to apply physical distancing in all open and closed sites, after the increase in infections with the emerging (Corona) virus and the rise in the epidemiological curve index in Saudi Arabia.
