The scholar Sheikh Saleh bin Muhammad Al-Luhaidan, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the former president of the Supreme Judicial Council, passed away at the age of 90, may God have mercy on him and put him in peace.

Sheikh Saleh Al-Luhaidan was born in the city of Bukayriyah in the Qassim region in 1931, and graduated from the College of Sharia in Riyadh in 1959. His name was associated with the Saudi judiciary, where he worked as head of the General Court in Riyadh and a member of the Supreme Judicial Council, before he assumed the presidency of the permanent body in the Supreme Judicial Council in 1982.
In 1992, he became the Chairman of the Council in the General and Permanent Council, and he has also been a member of the Council of Senior Scholars since its establishment in 1971.
