He stated that “hydroxyurea” is the first treatment for sickle cell anemia, and it was discovered in 1998 and achieved great effectiveness in treating the disease, noting that the Food and Drug Authority recently approved the use of one of the sickle cell anemia drugs, and it is currently based on the study of two others.
