This came on the sidelines of the “Riyadh International Summit for Medical Technology “2021”, in the presence of a group of health sector experts in the world through a video broadcast, organized by the King Abdullah International Center for Medical Research at the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, Minister of Health, said that the Riyadh International Summit for Medical Technology comes at a time when it has become necessary to discuss the areas of developing this technology because of its direct and close relationship to human health, noting that the global market value of biotechnology is expected to reach nearly more than $700 billion by 2025, and global sales of biotechnology drugs are expected to reach nearly $315 billion this year.
He added: And through the integrated vision of our country and the achievement of Vision 2030, the leadership sought to have a national strategy for biomedical technology, one of the most prominent branches of this strategy, to support and motivate it for the future and health of man.
