Saudi Arabia continued to record low numbers of new cases infected with the “Corona” virus; (Covid 19), below a thousand, in addition to a decrease in active cases, amid the acceleration of the pace of administration of vaccines against the virus to different groups of society.
Yesterday (Tuesday), the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 569 new cases of the Corona virus, bringing the total to 539,698 cases. Among them, 6,502 active cases are still receiving medical care, of which 1,295 are critical.
And Saudi Arabia also announced yesterday the extension of the validity of residencies for expatriates outside the Kingdom, and the extension of the validity of visit visas, exit and return visas, automatically without fees or financial compensation until the date of next September 30.
This extension comes; It was issued by the Minister of Finance for the fifth time, within the framework of the continuous efforts taken by the Kingdom’s government to deal with the effects and consequences of the global pandemic (Covid 19), and within the precautionary and preventive measures that guarantee the safety of citizens and residents, and contribute to mitigating the economic and financial effects.
And the “Saudi Passports” said that “in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the General Directorate of Passports has started extending the validity of residencies for expatriates outside the Kingdom, extending the validity of visit visas, exit and return visas, automatically without fees or financial compensation until September 30 ».
And she confirmed that the extension will be done automatically in cooperation with the “National Information Center” without the need to review the headquarters of the passport departments, as follows: “First: Extending the validity of residency and exit and return visas for residents outside the Kingdom in countries from which entry is suspended due to the outbreak of the Corona virus. ) in it, to be until the date of September 30. Second: Extending the validity of visitor visas for visitors outside the Kingdom from countries from which entry has been suspended as a result of the outbreak of the (Corona) virus in them, to be until September 30.

The UAE announced the update of the “green list” for travelers coming to it, and exempted those from 28 countries from the “quarantine.”
And the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi stated, in a statement yesterday (Tuesday), that it was decided to “exempt all travelers from the countries included in (this list) from the mandatory quarantine period when they visit the city, and travelers must present a certificate free from (Corona) valid for a period of time. 72 hours before departure, and a second check-up upon their arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Passengers who are fully vaccinated and who are coming from one of the countries included in the “green list” must take another examination on the sixth day from the date of their arrival in Abu Dhabi.
As for travelers who are not vaccinated against the “Corona” virus, and who are coming from one of the countries included in the list, they must conduct an examination on the sixth and ninth days from the date of their arrival at Abu Dhabi Airport.
The department indicated that the countries and territories included in the list will be updated periodically, based on the global developments of the “Covid 19” pandemic, and that the names of countries that comply with strict security and health standards will be included, in order to protect the local community, pointing out that these procedures apply to the countries of departure from which he is traveling Visitors only and not on nationality.
The updated “Green List”, which comes into force as of today (Wednesday), includes: Australia, Albania, Germany, Ukraine, Ireland, Bahrain, Brunei, Belgium, Bulgaria, Poland, Taiwan, Czech Republic, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sweden and Switzerland. , Seychelles, Serbia, China, Canada, South Korea, Malta, Hungary, Mauritius, Moldova, New Zealand and Hong Kong.
