Makni obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting from King Saud University, and completed a master’s degree and Ph.D. in finance from Hull University, UK.
He has published several articles in global journals and presented research papers at many conferences. His research focused on capital structure, performance of listed companies and corporate governance.
In 2020, he published two papers about debt policy for capital structure in Saudi listed firms, and the oil price and stock market returns uncertainties in Saudi Arabia.
