RIYADH — The Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia on a fuel tank at a petroleum products distribution station in north Jeddah has drawn strong regional and international condemnation, with UN Secretary-General António Guterres leading from the front.

In a statement, the UN chief expressed concern over the terrorist attack by a projectile on a fuel tank at the petroleum products distribution terminal in the north of Jeddah.

He said that the continued attacks launched by the Houthi militia targeting civilian targets and infrastructure in Saudi Arabia violate international humanitarian law.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's regional allies strongly denounced the attack, pledging their full support to the Kingdom.

The ministry affirmed Kuwait’s complete stand with the Kingdom and its support in all measures it takes to preserve its security and stability.

Egypt confirmed its rejection and strong condemnation of such terrorist sabotage acts committed against vital installations, which threaten the Kingdom's security and the stability of energy supplies.

Egypt reaffirmed its solidarity with the government and people of Saudi Arabia. It also reaffirmed its stand with the Kingdom in all measures it takes to defend its lands, maintain its security and stability in the face of these heinous cowardly attacks, and in order to confront all forms of terrorism and its supporters.

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in a statement affirmed its stand and solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to confront sabotage and terrorist acts against vital oil installations, which target the security and stability of energy supplies to the world.
