Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and the UAE offered congratulations to the Democratic candidate, Joe Biden, for winning the presidency of the United States, while Saudi Arabia kept silent.

On Saturday evening, American media announced Biden’s victory, according to incomplete results, amid doubts by the latter about the integrity of the elections.

After the announcement, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, congratulated Biden, saying, “Congratulations to the elected president, Joe Biden, and the elected vice president, Kamala Harris.”

He added, “My best wishes to the people of the United States, and I look forward to working together to continue strengthening the friendship between our two countries,” according to the official Qatar News Agency.

The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawwaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, also sent a congratulatory cable to Biden, for winning the presidential race, stressing his aspiration to strengthen ties in various fields, according to the official Kuwaiti News Agency.

The Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq, sent a congratulatory cable to Biden, according to the official Oman News Agency.

In the cable, the Sultan expressed his sincere congratulations to Biden for “winning the confidence of the American people and electing him as president for the upcoming presidential term.”

The King of Bahrain, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, also offered a congratulatory cable to Biden and his deputy.

He expressed the Kingdom’s keenness to “continue constructive cooperation at all levels to enhance these strategic relations,” according to the Bahrain News Agency.
