The decision also included that the state bears the residency fees for children of Saudi citizenship, and allows her children to work for others in the private sector without transferring their sponsorship, and they are treated as Saudis in terms of study and treatment, and they are counted among the rates of Saudization in the private sector, according to Al-Riyadh newspaper.
The decision to obtain these benefits stipulated that the marriage took place with the approval of the competent authority, or that the marriage contract be notarized, and that their children had documents proving their identities.
The number of children of Saudi women married to non-Saudis is about one million and 500 thousand people, according to human rights and feminist organizations in Saudi Arabia.
According to official statistics, the number of Saudi women married to non-Saudis is 700,000, a number that seems large compared to the number of Saudis.
