The Saudi stock market ended today’s session slightly lower after several sessions of gains, while the general index closed below the level of 8,600 points after surpassing it in the previous session.

The performance of the leading stocks varied amid increases in the shares of small and medium companies, as SABB, Jarir and Arab National Bank rose by 2.2, 1.6 and 1.9 percent, respectively, while we find a decline in SAFCO, Mobilin and STC by 2.1, 0.8 and 0. 75 percent.

Shares of Al-Rajhi Bank and SABIC also fell by 0.7 percent each, while Saudi fell for the second session, closing at 35.8 riyals.

The market ended the trading session today at 8592 points, recording a decline of 9 points, or the equivalent of 0.1 per cent, and the session witnessed trading of about 12.2 billion riyals, amid trading 543.2 million shares, through the implementation of 480.9 thousand transactions.

Regarding the most bullish stocks in the market during today’s session, the cable company shares rose at the upper limit for the second consecutive session, followed by Zain Saudi Arabia by 8.2 per cent, as these gains came during the auction period, followed by Pipes and Amiantit with gains of 8 and 7.6 per cent respectively. Among the 90 companies whose shares are traded in the Green Zone.

On the other hand, the shares of 101 companies, led by Shams, fell 3.2 percent, then Gulf Insurance 3.1 percent, in addition to Bupa Arabia, with declines of 3 percent.
