Palestinian activists led a severe attack on “MBC” after the series was deleted. The clip came in an advertisement for the first episodes of the Biography program, presented by the Egyptian media Wafaa Al-Kilani, in which Al-Sakka sang a song that he said his grandfather loved to sing to him when he was young.
The removal of the clip sparked discontent on social media.
Al-Saqa echoed what his grandfather used to sing to him: “May God protect you, Palestine, always for us… we Arabs can protect you, and who can be against us… we Arabs can protect you, and whoever is able is hostile to us.” Perhaps by chanting this hymn he mentioned the Arabs or some of them of their impotence.
