RIYADH — The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has launched a “cash for work" program in the Yemeni governorate of Seiyun, Saudi Press Agency reported on Friday.
The program which is supported by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), the charity arm of Saudi Arabia, seeks to create job opportunities for the displaced people as well as the residents of the governorate who are struggling to find jobs due to the humanitarian crisis that Yemen is experiencing in general.
The KSRelief is already running a “cash for work” program in several Yemeni governorates as part of its livelihood improvement project.
This program is part of the Kingdom’s efforts through the KSRelief to provide various services to the Yemeni people to improve their living conditions.
It is noteworthy that the KSRelief last month signed a $15 million deal with the IOM to carry out humanitarian projects in Yemen.
