The spokesperson for the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, Fahad Al-Otaibi, responded to the delay in starting studies at international technical colleges, after a number of male and female trainees expressed their fear of delaying their graduation because of that.
He explained, during his interview with the “Ya Hala” program on the “Rotana Khalijia” channel, that the Foundation appreciates the trainees’ concern over the delay in the start of the training process, and that it is keen on their future.
And he indicated that the delay occurred in a small number of colleges and was caused by the contracts being linked to international parties outside the Kingdom.
He added that the Foundation is working with the relevant authorities to operate the colleges soon, and the trainees will be compensated for the delay period.
He revealed that the number of trainees is really large, because the Foundation has more than 200 institutes, and the International Colleges of Technology represent a simple model of the Foundation’s programs.
A student at the College of Technology in Al-Khobar expressed her and her colleagues’ concern about their future for not knowing the date of the start of the study, adding that the institution has more than 242,000 trainees in the first semester, although all colleges are closed.
