Commissioner-General Philip Lazzarini said: “On my first visit to the Gulf and my first official visit outside the UNRWA fields of operations as Commissioner-General of the Agency, I am here in Riyadh today to express my gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman The Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, on the good timing and generosity of their support for Palestine refugees, ”adding:“ In a time of regional political turmoil, pandemic, and economic and financial crises, Palestine refugees will know that their rights and well-being are not questioned and that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is on their side. ”
In Riyadh, Mr. Lazzarini emphasized the centrality of UNRWA services in the lives of Palestine refugees and called for continued Saudi political and financial support.
