He said: “The Ministry of Education seeks integration with community institutions and relevant authorities to support remote education as a national project in an exceptional stage, indicating that the ministry evaluated the educational process remotely five weeks after the beginning of the school year and submitting the results to the High Commissioner to come out with the decision to return to Schools or continuing education at a distance.
Al-Sheikh indicated that the education directors were instructed to follow the educational process and raise the readiness for distance education processes, pointing out that the ministry will conduct tests for a number of courses for all public education students. To find out the results and draw up improvement plans for students’ performance during the distance education period.
The Minister of Education indicated that during the past five weeks, the school was the first support center for students, teachers and their parents. In addition, the school provides psychological support through meeting with parents for psychological and educational preparation regarding the evaluation and follow-up processes for students, expressing his pride in the presence of honorable models of teachers who have overcome challenges, are dedicated to presenting their duties, and deliver their educational message remotely to their students.
His Excellency explained that the Ministry of Education has implemented a set of opinion polls to measure the experience of the beneficiaries of the services provided by (Madrasati platform), as an important input for development, and to overcome the challenges that may face distance education and e-learning in general, revealing that the ministry launched the “Madrasati application” for male and female students. And their parents, and it can be downloaded and installed on all operating systems for smartphones, as it provides more than 16 educational services that will be activated in stages, and the Ministry has also launched the My School competition; As a vessel for disseminating success stories and the most prominent events of the Madrasati platform, with its refined enrichment products targeting teachers, administrators, students and their parents and those interested in educational affairs, according to three areas (education – media and education – training).
He pointed out that six global bodies have conducted two comprehensive studies on the e-learning experience in the Kingdom during the Corona pandemic in public and university education, in coordination with the National Center for E-Learning.
The meeting of the Minister of Education witnessed a tour of the participants to the virtual school, studios of Ain channels to record lessons, and to see the technical and educational equipment included in the remote education system in the Kingdom.
