The Family Affairs Council and the Social Development Bank signed today (Sunday) a joint cooperation agreement to launch the “Idiathon Tale of Women” initiative to support entrepreneurs, business owners, and self-employed workers, and projects and ideas that serve women in various regions.
This agreement is part of the Council’s initiatives directed at all family members, including the “Tala al-Nisa” initiative, which seeks to develop and enhance the personal success skills of girls participating in the program by providing them with information, trends and skills that raise their level of personal performance.
The initiative, which derives its name from the meanings of: “empowerment, originality, cohesion, and development” serves the largest number of women in Saudi Arabia, and aims to empower them economically, as it is a business incubator for women who have pioneering economic ideas, and they are assisted through technical, legal and material support, And get loans.
In keeping with the goals and strategy of the Women’s Committee in the Council, the “Online Woman’s Ideaathon” will be designed and launched to provide development projects that serve women in several fields, and provide financial services represented in financing self-employment projects and small enterprises, and other non-financial projects for entrepreneurs and women entrepreneurs.
For her part, the Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council, Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri, affirmed the Council’s keenness to enhance the status of the family, preserve it, and encourage civil participation in taking care of its issues and goals, in line with Vision 2030, which aims to increase the participation of women in the labor market from 20 percent to 30 percent, and raising the share of small and medium-sized enterprises in the GDP from 20 percent to 35 percent.
