13 new Saudi relief trucks heading to Yemen

13 relief trucks crossed the Al-Wadiah border crossing during the period from 15 to 27 September 2020, carrying 265 tons of food baskets, various medical materials, and 30 cartons of dates, targeting the governorates of Aden, Marib, Taiz, Lahj and Hadramout.This aid comes as an extension of the relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom through the center to all Yemeni governorates without discrimination, including the governorates that are suffering under the weight of the Houthis.

On the other hand, the center signed yesterday a joint cooperation agreement to operate the Artificial Limbs and Rehabilitation Center in the governorates of Aden (the third phase) and Seiyun, from which 2572 individuals will benefit.

The agreement was signed by the Assistant General Supervisor of the Center for Operations and Programs Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Beez at the Center’s headquarters in Riyadh.

The Director of the Medical and Environmental Aid Department at the Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Moallem, stated in a press statement that during the project, physical rehabilitation services will be provided to people with special needs to serve themselves first and contribute to the service of their community secondly.
