RIYADH — Saudi Arabia on Wednesday recorded 1,815 new coronavirus cases, taking the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom to 78,541, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.

A total of 2,572 patients have completely recovered, raising the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 51,022, the statement added.

There has been a consistent drop in the number of infections and increase in the number of recoveries in the Kingdom.

The ministry also announced 14 more deaths, bringing the coronavirus-related fatalities to 425.

Of the new cases, Riyadh reported 739, Jeddah 325, Makkah 162, Hufuof 118, Dammam 74 and Al Khobar 54.
