Hind Al Soulia - Riyadh - WICHITA — Two people, including a child, were killed and several others injured Saturday when a pickup truck drove through a youth football game at a sports complex in Wichita, Kansas, police said.
The incident occurred at Stryker Sports Complex, where a black Chevrolet Silverado drove through the area during a youth football game.
Wichita police confirmed that the driver had been arrested and that there was no continuing threat to the public.
"We have two fatalities confirmed here at the scene and multiple other casualties with individuals transported to area hospitals," Wichita Police Capt. Aaron Moses said.
"The vehicle involved in this incident remained at the scene. The driver of that vehicle is currently in our custody. There is no additional ongoing threat to the public from that driver," he added.
