Hind Al Soulia - Riyadh - ADEN — The Yemeni army said Saturday that more than 20 airstrikes targeted Houthi positions and military assets in the central province of Al-Bayda, inflicting heavy losses.

The strikes targeted Houthi positions, gatherings, vehicles, missile launchers and a communications system in the districts of Al-Zahir, Dhi Na’im, Al-Sawadiyah and Mukayras, according to the Yemeni Armed Forces Media Center.

The military said the strikes caused heavy losses in personnel and equipment but did not provide casualty figures.

Separately, the government-aligned Giants Brigades said it shot down a Houthi first-person-view (FPV) attack drone before it reached its target.

Earlier Saturday, the Yemeni army said its warplanes struck dozens of Houthi trucks transporting weapons, ammunition and missiles from Taiz toward the Houthi-held capital, Sanaa.
